Best Of: CB2
Happy Friday, and welcome to the second post in the "Best Of" series! Thanks for the great feedback (especially on Instagram!) about the series - I'm glad y'all are as excited as I am about these roundups of what's new and what's awesome in these stores. This week, it's all about CB2 - Crate & Barrel's more modern, slightly edgier sister store. They only have a few storefronts, so they aren't as well known as C&B, but they've got some fantastic pieces that I'm really loving these days. They're also quite affordable - especially when it comes to the smaller stuff like pillows, housewares and lighting. For example, many of their pillows are under $40 including a down insert. That's a great deal, my friends! (P.S. Why down inserts? You can read all about that in Tuesday's post!)
They're also a go to of mine for something that's slightly unexpected: hardware. If you love sleek, modern knobs and handles, but don't want to pay an arm and a leg, check theirs out! I picked a current favorite in brass and silver for my round up, but there are so many good ones. Hardware is a great way to make something like a piece of furniture or kitchen cabinets stand out. We used their brass hex knobs in our kitchen renovation and love them.
This month they put out a bunch of new products in all categories, and much of what I'm sharing today is from that release. There are a couple of items I want to highlight in particular, including that cowhide director's chair. I can see two of those as head chairs in a casual, but slightly sophisticated dining room, or as a fun and different office chair. The other piece I love in this group is that tufted ottoman. You can't tell just by looking at it here, but it's a great size - 36" in diameter! It would work into so many different styles too: from traditional to feminine to bohemian.
