One Good Thing: Throw Pillow Combinations

One Good Thing: Throw Pillows

Being in the interior design world, I find I'm constantly thinking about ways folks can turn up the style factor in their homes. There are so many small and practical things you can do that will make a huge difference, so I decided to start a new series called "One Good Thing," which will be a time for me to share some of my favorite quick design ideas and tips. The goal is to stick to one idea or tip each time so that it's easy for you to take the info and run with it.

Ready? Let's do this!

Today I'm starting with one of my favorite things to change up in my own home - throw pillows! Changing out small pieces of decor like pillows is super fun and gives you an opportunity tochange the look of your living room without replacing anything major, but a lot of people (understandably!) panic when it comes to mixing fabric colors and patterns.

If you type "throw pillows" into Google, a million options pop up, so how in the world do you choose a few and make them look cohesive? While there's not necessarily a right or a wrong answer, there are some general guidelines I've found that work really well. I pulled together five different combinations that can help guide your future pillow purchases. If you're here because you're doing some pillow shopping right now and you like one of the combos below, you're in luck! I've linked to all of them individually below.*
