Favorite Finds: West Elm

West Elm is one of my go-to places for affordable mid-century and modern furniture. They have a great selection of pieces for your living room, dining room, bedroom, and more! Come see my favorites on the blog.

West Elm is a perennial favorite when I’m hunting for affordable modern and mid-century furniture for clients and my own home. If your decorating style happens to fall into one of those categories, or even leans a little bit more boho or eclectic, it’s a great place to shop!

I love taking a spin through the online catalog (and stores when I have a chance!) and seeing what new pieces of furniture and decor they have, and this recent spin didn’t disappoint. I found a lot of things to love and I’ve got a great roundup to share with you today. It was hard narrowing it down to just 15 favorites, but that’s what you’ll find here today. I tried to include a variety of pieces that were either really beautifully designed, had something unique about them, or both! There’s a little something for everyone here.

Now let’s take a look at what caught my eye. You’ll find the links to my favorite products below the graphic, and you’ll also see a slider of clickable images that will take you right to the item on the West Elm website. (If you’re on a feed reader or in your email, you’ll need to head to the full site to access that feature.) Happy shopping!

Favorite Furniture & Home Decor From West Elm

West Elm is one of my go-to places for affordable mid-century and modern furniture. They have a great selection of pieces for your living room, dining room, bedroom, and more! Come see my favorites on the blog.

Here a few thoughts on some of these and why I like them so much!

  • Mid-Century Marble & Wood Side Table: This might be one of my all-time favorite side tables ever. Really! The proportions are fantastic (it’s the right height for just about any “normal” sofa and I love that it’s deep enough to run much of the depth) and it’s hard to go wrong with a combo of marble and wood. The little shelf underneath is perfect for a small basket or a few books too.

  • Black & Brass Plug In Wall Sconce: Plug in wall lamps are handy in so many circumstances - they don’t take up a lot of space and you don’t need an electrician to wire them! I really like the height of this one. It almost acts like a piece of art and makes for a great focal point. (P.S. Want more plug in sconces? Check out this post!)

  • Geometric Modern Rug: I clearly have a thing for abstract geometrics right now! This rug caught my eye because of its organic-looking pattern, mix of weaves (you have to pop over to the site to see it - the image here doesn’t do it justice), and the colors. It would definitely be a conversation starter in a living room or dining room.

  • Marble, Wood, & Brass Buffet: This might be the buffet of my dreams. That combo of wood and marble make an appearance again, and the clean lines make it a perfect fit for a more modern space, but it would be equally at home in a more traditional or eclectic home.

  • Crewel Pillow Cover: Crewel is a type of embroidery that has loads of texture. I know it’s hard to see that in this little image, but take a look at it on the website. I liked the fun pattern of this pillow cover and think it would be great as a single accent pillow on a side chair.

  • Mid-Century Oval Patterned Ottoman: As someone who is now constantly thinking about how to make spaces kid-friendly thanks to our little guy, I’m always excited when I see pretty pieces with rounded or soft edges. This one has both! I loved the pattern on this too - it has a slightly more interesting look to it than just a solid colored fabric.

So, what caught your eye? Any pieces you’d pick up for your own home?
