Great for: tackling paint or finish selections, choosing between a few products, getting a second opinion on a purchase, or working through one specific design dilemma.

For bigger conversations, more complicated projects or a longer list you'd like to work through together.
Great for: renovations, multiple spaces, room plans, sourcing, or projects where you'd like time to really dig in.

Not sure how much time to book?
For most projects, I recommend 60 minutes. It's enough time to dig in without feeling rushed, and you can always book another session if you'd like to keep going.
All consultations take place virtually via video call. Payment is due at booking.

I started Mix & Match Design Co. in 2015 with a simple belief: creating a beautiful home should feel approachable—not overwhelming.
For more than a decade, I've helped clients virtually create homes that feel collected, comfortable, and personal. I've designed rooms from the ground up, helped families navigate renovations, sourced thousands of pieces of furniture, and probably debated more paint colors than I could ever count.
And after years of full virtual design projects, I've learned something: sometimes an hour with the right person is all you need.
These consultations give you access to a part of the design process I love most—talking through possibilities, solving problems, and helping you make confident decisions—without requiring you to hand over your entire project to a designer.
Think of me as your experienced second set of eyes.

A few common questions.

If you have one focused question or a couple of decisions to make, the 30-minute Quick Check is a great fit. For most rooms and projects, I recommend the 60-minute Design Consultation. If you're tackling a renovation, multiple spaces or have a longer list to work through, choose the 90-minute Deep Dive.

After booking, you'll fill out a short questionnaire where you can tell me about your project and what you'd most like to accomplish. You can also send photos, measurements, floor plans, inspiration images, Pinterest boards, product links or anything else you'd like me to see.
Don't worry about putting together a perfect presentation—just send what you have.

Absolutely. If sourcing would be helpful, we can shop together live and I'll show you what I'd choose and why. Any product links we discuss will be included with your post-consultation materials.

Yes. Consultations are a great fit for reviewing floor plans, cabinetry drawings, finish selections, lighting, hardware and other renovation decisions.
My recommendations are design guidance; construction, structural, engineering and code-related decisions should always be confirmed with the appropriate licensed professional.

You'll receive a recording of our conversation and links to any products or resources we covered during our time together.
That way, you can focus on the conversation rather than trying to take notes as we go.

Your consultation is designed around the time we spend together, and we'll cover as much as we can during our session. Additional sourcing, drawings, mood boards, renderings and ongoing design work aren't included—but you're always welcome to book another consultation as your project evolves.

Of course. Many design projects evolve over time, and you're welcome to book another session whenever you need another set of eyes—whether that's next week or six months from now.

Your consultation time is reserved especially for you. If you need to cancel, please do so at least 48 hours before your scheduled consultation to receive a full refund.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the consultation and missed appointments are nonrefundable. Because consultation availability is limited, rescheduling is not generally offered.
I understand that unexpected circumstances happen. If an illness, emergency, or other extenuating circumstance prevents you from attending your consultation, please reach out to me directly at chaney@mixandmatchdesign.com. Exceptions may be made at my discretion.
In the unlikely event that I need to cancel your consultation, you'll have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
