What Caught My Eye: Serena & Lily {Sale Alert!}

If you’re looking for recommendations on modern coastal furniture and decor, I’ve got you covered, my friend. The pieces you’ll see below fall more into the category of investment pieces, but they are well-worth it because the designs will stand the test of time and they’re good quality. You can always balance out an investment piece with more budget-friendly finds, so don’t be afraid to spend a little more on something you love and will keep forever (or at least for a long while!).

Now here are some notes about a few of these pieces - it was hard to narrow it down to these four!

• Riviera Dining Side Chair: You’ve probably seen these babies out there on Pinterest or social media before and for good reason - they’re beautiful and emulate the classic French bistro chair! They come in several colors and chair types (including bar stools) to work with your home’s style and color scheme.

• Capiz Chandelier: If you’re looking for a way to step up your lighting game, this is a lovely one. I actually think it would work well in a bedroom, dining room, or living room. Adding unique and pretty lighting to a space is one of my favorite ways to give your home a custom look.

• Coastal Modern Swivel Chair: Yes! A swivel chair that doesn’t look like a swivel chair! I’m a big fan of the clean lines and wood base on this accent chair, and there are a ton of fabrics to choose from as well.

• Boho Storage Baskets: Why not make your storage and organization solutions pretty? These baskets would be amazing for kids’ toys, blankets, dog toys, and just about anything else you want to hide away. You could also use the larger ones as laundry baskets!

Here are some notes about several of these pieces:

• Blue/Off-White Long Lumbar Pillow: If you’ve been around Mix & Match for any length of time, you’ll know that I’m a big fan of long lumbar pillows on a bed! I shared an example of that in this post on four different ways to arrange pillows on your bed. It’s such an easy way to add pattern, color, and style without having to deal with a million pillows when you’re making your bed. This one is 14”x30” and is the perfect size for a queen or king bed.

• Modern Black/Brass Wall Sconce: These sconces hit all the right notes for me. They feel fresh and classic at the same time, and go with any number of styles from transitional, to coastal, to modern boho. A pair of these above your bedside tables would provide a great amount of light and look great.

• Watercolor Vine Wallpaper and Coral Herringbone Wallpaper: Serena & Lily has a gorgeous selection of wallpapers and these are just two of them. I’d take a few minutes to browse through their collection of colors and styles just to get a sense for all of the ones they offer!

• Border Frame Duvet Cover: I think good bedding is totally worth investing in, and if you choose classic basics, you’ll be set for a long time. The border frame collection definitely falls into that “classic” category and if these aren’t your jam, take a look through the other options - they’ve got a lovely group of pretty duvets, shams, and quilts!
