Happy Friday, friends! After today, the Get the Look series will be taking a little break - I'm going to change things up for these Friday posts for a bit, but you'll have to wait and see what the new series will be! I've got to create a little bit of suspense around here, right? ;)

So for the last hurrah, if you will, I decided to put together a living room look that I would love to have in real life in my own home. I like a lot of decorating styles, but I'm feeling drawn to a bit of a mid-century modern eclectic look these days, so that's what you're going to see here! You could probably also classify this one as "cozy modern." It has a little bit of a lot of things in it - even a hint of industrial! Whatever you want to call it, this is a peek into what I might do today if I was redesigning the living room in our home.

First though, let's take a look at the inspiration images I chose for this design. They each have a slightly worn in, comfortable look to them, yet have clean lines and feel pretty modern. Take a peek below:

See what I mean? Also, can we just all agree that it would be amazing if our living rooms looked like any of those spaces? :)

Now let's put it all together with the inspiration photos and design!

Mid-Century Reclining Armchair* | Blue & Red Vintage Style Rug | Gray Mid-Century Sofa | Tapered Wood Side Table | Black & Brass Task Lamp | Live Edge Wood Coffee Table | Blush Pink Pillow | Gray Stripe Throw Pillow | Blue Fish Scales Pillow | Blue Dot Pillow | Wood & Marble Side Table | Rattan Table Lamp | "Sunset at the Beach" Art Print | "Crowd 3" Art Print

I love each of the individual pieces I chose for this week's look, but seeing them all together in this one room makes for a pretty stellar combination! Let's talk about a few of my favorites.

First off, those mid-century chairs are - wait for it - recliners! I know, I couldn't believe it either. I love how they don't look like traditional recliners, yet give you the option of laying back and putting your feet up when you want to truly relax.

The vintage style blue and red rug is so fun and bring a lot of color and pattern to this living room. I love that it has knotted threads on the ends to give it a more authentic look. It's made of polypropylene though, so it's great for high traffic areas!

I chose two very different lamps for this design - a black and brass floor lamp and a rattan table lamp. I like how they complement each other and bring out the eclectic look I wanted. The floor lamp is super affordable too - you'll never believe where it's from!

The live edge wood coffee table is a bit of a splurge, but it's balanced out by other less expensive pieces, don't worry! It's definitely unique, and adds something organic and special to the room, don't you think?

Finally, the art. I tend to look for art that jumps right off the page and "speaks" to me, and these two pieces definitely did that! The colors mesh well with the rest of the space, but they're not matchy-matchy. They're a little quirky and fun, and they have both a modern and eclectic style - perfect for this living room!

So what do you think of this look? Are you digging it as much as I am?
