Quick Ship, Last Minute Gift Ideas
We’re closing in on Christmas, folks! With the quick turnaround from Thanksgiving, it feels like the time to shop for those special folks in our lives has been even more limited than usual, don’t you think? I’ve been wrapping up my holiday shopping this week and thought I’d share a few of my favorite finds that fall into that “last minute” category that you can STILL get before December 25th.
My picks are all courtesy of Amazon Prime - it’s hard to beat that two-day (or even one-day!) shipping guarantee to take the stress out of making sure it gets there on time. They have a HUGE selection of items that can definitely be overwhelming at times, but hopefully the ones you see here will help you narrow your search and find the perfect gifts.

Waxed Canvas Large Tote Bag: Waxed canvas is one of my favorite materials - it’s water repellant, has a beautiful “worn” look, and it tends to be quite durable. I loved the look of this oversized tote with its leather handles and classic shape. It would be hard to find someone who wouldn’t get a lot of mileage out of a bag like this!
Modern Ceramic Vase: The Jonathan Adler line at Amazon is full of funky finds including this uniquely shaped vase. It holds its own as a piece of pottery or you can fill it with flowers. It would make a great hostess gift - add a few fresh florals, tie a bow on it, and hand it on over.
Travel Size Magnetic Wooden Block Set: Got little ones in your life? This little set of modern magnetic blocks makes a great gift that will encourage their imagination, even on the go! They can be crafted into TONS of different shapes (49+ according to the box - it even has them pictured so you can get inspired).
ZZ Plant in Planter: If you love gifting plants, but don’t have time to shop for the plant AND a container for it, this is perfect. It’s a hearty ZZ plant in a pretty ceramic container at a seriously affordable price. I’d happily purchase this to give somebody any day of the week.
Porter Ceramic Travel Mug and Porter Portable Lunch Bowl: I spotted the Porter portable food + beverage collection over the weekend and fell in love with the minimalist, modern shapes and their gorgeous colors. They have a lot more than the two pieces I shared here too - including ceramic, plastic, and glass editions - so be sure to take a look at everything if you like what you see. If I didn’t work from home and had to take a lunch to an office every day, I’d snap all of these up in a heartbeat!
Set of 6 Ramekins: I have these and have loved having them around for the past few months. Ramekins come in handy for all sorts of things and I’ve found lots of uses for them - even to feed my 8 month old solids!
“How To Houseplant” Book: I hear a LOT of folks say they wish they had more of a green thumb (and didn’t kill all of their houseplants!), and if you know someone who falls into that category, maybe this book can help them! I truly believe it’s all about finding the right plants for your home rather than having some sort of special skill set at keeping them alive. This book looks like a great resource for that.
Paddywax Candle: Though candles can be pretty taste-specific, I’ve found that Paddywax makes some pretty amazing scents that are almost universally loved. One of my favorites is their Sea Salt and Sage (pictured here) and I love the vessel it comes in as well.
Touchscreen Friendly Fleece-Lined Gloves: I love, love gloves that work with the touchscreen on my iPhone for winter and these look awesome. They have nearly all 5 star reviews, have a stylish look that goes with just about anything, and come in a bunch of colors. The measurement system seems a little bit odd, but they have a guide to help you figure out what size to get.
