Save or Splurge: Lighting Edition
Time to decide whether you want to save or splurge! This time around, I’m covering some pretty fantastic ceiling light fixtures. I can’t wait to show you. Take a look at the graphic above and see whether you can guess which one is the dupe for less, then scroll down to see if you’re right!
I love finding lookalike pieces. It’s amazing how similar some can be to one another. There are some really good ones out there these days! I should note that price does often correlate to quality, so keep that in mind as you’re comparing the products. There are definitely times when it makes sense to take the plunge and invest in something for your home, but mixing in affordable home decor definitely gets hearty approval in my book.

Black and Brass Round Pendant:

I just installed the “save” version of this in my dining room and it’s GOOD, y’all. I was really impressed. I knew I was taking a risk at spending less than $200 for my chandelier, but I fell in love with it even before I saw the price point. The splurge is beautiful too and I’ve seen it in person - it’s solidly made and a good price!
Conical Drum Shade Pendant - Brass:

I’ve been waiting for years for a dupe of the conical pendant and semi-flush mount from Rejuvenation to come out. The price point is actually quite reasonable, but with it’s simple design, I was surprised that it hadn’t been emulated yet. There is a semi-flush version of this as well, but the brass was out of stock when I pulled together this roundup, so decided to stick with the pendant for this example.
Octagon Glass Pendant Light:

There’s something so classic about the Morris pendant from Visual Comfort Co. It comes in several finishes, sizes, and styles (clear glass vs. white). This new Morrison pendant is clearly modeled after it, and while I think there are some details missing from the lower priced version, it’ll definitely get you the look.
Brass Bowl Flushmount:
Save | Splurge
Finally, I had to throw a pretty flush mount in here. This last pair is more of about going for a similar look and size, because they’re probably the most different of the group! Each has the same demi-bowl bottom and chunky brass mount, but the shapes are a bit different. Which one would you choose?
