Favorite Finds - Studio McGee x Target

Studio McGee now has a partnership with Target! They just released a whole collection of gorgeous pieces of furniture and home decor that falls along the lines of updated traditional, coastal, and boho styles. Come check out my favorites on the blog!

It feels like I could write a post about Target’s furniture and home decor lines at least once a month these days - whoever is on their product development teams deserves a serious round of applause. Their new multi-year partnership with Studio McGee is fantastic and today I want to share some of my favorite pieces with y’all!

Studio McGee is one of my favorite designers and I’ve watched her grow her interior design business for years now - she’s done an amazing job and I really admire what she’s done. She also has her own shop, McGee & Co.*, which is full of lovely pieces, and her new line with Target echoes the styles you’d see there, but at a super affordable price point.

The furniture and decor she designed for this collection are all beautiful, but what blew me away was the little things - everything from the scale of the pieces to the tiny details was well thought out. As a designer myself (with a pretty critical eye!), I have to say I was really, really impressed when I took a close look at them. Those touches make these pieces look MUCH more high end than the price would suggest.

The first round of these pieces sold out SO fast, but I’ve been keeping an eye on the line and they’ve been restocking pieces pretty quickly, so if you can’t get something today, turn on the option to be notified when it’s restocked and you can pick it up!

Here’s a look at some of my favorites. You can find the links to all of them below the image and find out what I bought for my own home!

Studio McGee x Target: Favorite Furniture and Decor

36” Abstract Landscape Painting | Brass Tripod Floor Lamp | White Ceramic Table Lamp | 34” Round Mirror | Natural Wood Bench with Cushion | Wooden Bead Garland | Blue/Natural Striped Rug | Modern Black Console Table | Striped Upholstered Square Ottoman | Faux Maidenhair Fern | Green Stripe Pillow | Cream Windowpane Pillow | Textured Lumbar Pillow | Round Rattan Accent Table | Black Frames with Oversized Mats

Here are a few notes about a few of these:

  • Striped Upholstered Square Ottoman: I had my eye on another, similar ottoman for quite awhile, but never pulled the trigger. I’m so glad because these were the perfect “look for less” option! I got a pair of them for our family room and we’ve been LOVING them so far. The fabric is great, and they’re lightweight so we can move them around to make more play space super easily.

  • Green Stripe Pillow: This is the other piece I picked up! I love all the pillows in this collection - they mix and match beautifully (seriously, I think you can pair them all together if you want). They look much more expensive than they are AND they have zippers! This matters because it allows you to swap out the cheap polyester inserts for down ones - something you don’t see very often with Target pillows!

  • White Ceramic Table Lamp: The scale of this (24” high) is really good for just about any tabletop. The ceramic base is slightly oversized, which I love. I’m tempted to pick one of these up, but don’t have a spot for it right now. Someone else grab one and share a picture of it, will you?

  • Modern Black Console Table: This collection has several console tables and accent tables, but this one really stood out to me. It would be great in an entryway or behind a sofa. It could lean modern or more traditional depending on what else you style it with, making it a really versatile piece.

  • Black Frames with Oversized Mats: I immediately fell in love with these oversized mats and the larger sizes of the frames. They’re actually more expensive than I would have thought, but I’m hoping that means that they’re good quality. I may pick have to go see one in store (once this whole quarantine thing is over) to see how it looks!

So what are your faves? Are you loving these affordable furniture and decor finds as much as I am?
