What Caught My Eye: Target (Spring 2019 Edition)

In today’s What Caught My Eye, we’re headed back to one of my favorite places for affordable furniture and home decor: Target!
I recently got a DM from a gal on Instagram asking if I would round up my picks from Target’s most recent furniture and home decor releases, and of course I had to say yes! I’ll happily use any excuse to take a spin through there, and since it’s been a few months, I figured now was a good time! They’ve got a ton of really great pieces now including new patio and outdoor furniture - perfect for this time of year.
As usual, I’m focusing on their in-house brands: Hearth & Hand, Threshold, Project62, and Opalhouse. I can’t wait for you to check it all out. They’ve been having a killer home sale this week, so be sure to snag the deals before they’re gone!

And here are some notes about a few of my faves!
Plaid Woven Area Rug: This would be SO cute in a kid’s room, and would work well in other low-traffic areas too. It’s made primarily of cotton, so you’d want to put it in a spot that wouldn’t be super vulnerable to the “elements.” It’s a great price too - $399 for a 9’x12’ size!
Modern Outdoor Patio Loveseat: Target’s outdoor furniture and decor is crazy good this year. They’re building on last year’s amazing collections and I particularly loved this one. Be sure to browse through all that they have to offer in lounge furniture, outdoor pillows, and patio dining tables/chairs - you won’t be disappointed.
Boho Blue Ottoman: If you’re an Anthropologie fan, I bet this footstool probably caught your eye too! The vintage-style bohemian fabric is so fun - it would be a great addition to a chair in a reading corner or you could also place two of them side by side in front of a fireplace.
Faux Potted Fern Plant: I also saw this tabletop size faux fiddle leaf fig the other day in the store and it’s a good one! I was really impressed. So if faux is the only way you do plants in your home, add these to your cart.
Modern Black Task Lamp: This little desk lamp is a part of a larger collection of eclectic modern lighting in collaboration with Leanne Ford. I loved the simple, modern details on this one, and if you do too, head on over to see the whole set!
Extra Long Blue Lumbar Pillow: I’m so excited to see some long lumbars hit the larger retailers because they’re one of my favorite easy ways to dress up a bed without adding a ton of pillows! Target has several great ones right now. Remember though, most Target pillows are sewn closed, which means you can’t swap out the polyester insert for a feather one, but for a pillow that doesn’t get used much, that’s ok. This is another long lumbar I really liked.
Modern White & Wood Bar Stools: Minimalist and modern is the name of the game here! These bar and counter stools come in several leg finishes including blue, green, silver, and black in addition to the white, and they all have the wood seat. If I was in the market to replace our current ones, these would be high on the list.
