Get the Look: California Cool Modern Bedroom
via Amber Interiors (photo Tessa Neustadt)
Psst! Did you miss last week's Get the Look post? This is a new Friday series here on the blog where I snag a photo of a beautifully designed space and share the pieces you can purchase for your own home to mimic its look and feel.
Since we've got bedrooms on the brain this week (did you catch the post about a design rule I think you can break?), I thought it would only be fitting if today's "Get the Look" post featured a gorgeous bedroom that's - wait for it - in front of a window. Ok, so this one is actually under a window, but close enough. :)
This bedroom comes from the fabulous Amber Interiors (photo by Tessa Neustadt), who can do no wrong in my book. She's a fantastic California-based designer, and her spaces are have a signature bright and airy feel with a perfect mix of mid-century modern and bohemian eclectic styles. Whenever she reveals a new project, I practically gasp at every room. if you haven't had the pleasure of scrolling through her portfolio, be sure to check it out sometime.
So how you can you get the look of this bedroom? Scroll on down! I've got a "low" option that's very wallet-friendly, and a "high" option that's still very reasonable. (I feel like I need to give a disclaimer that those words mean different things to different people, but I think you get the gist!)
black and brass wall sconce | upholstered headboard | indigo euro shams | shibori throw pillow | long lumbar pillow | blue stripe grain sack pillow | mid-century nightstand | white sheet/duvet set | indigo throw blanket | bedskirt | woven seat stools | moroccan style rug
Total cost for this "low" look: ~$1,900.
By the way, the sheet and duvet set from Brooklinen is fantastic (so good, that I included it in the "high" look too!). I just bought the sheets for my own bed, and I love them. They're a nice, crisp cotton percale. If you're in the market for some high-quality, reasonably priced sheets, these are my new go-to!
Also, those sconces are SO inexpensive, but look like a million bucks. Grab a set of two for a bedroom!

Total cost for this "high" look: ~$3,600.
I'm in love with those euro pillows and the leather and brass stools - together, they're a great mix of casual and elegant.
So tell me, what do you think of this bedroom? Are there any "looks" you'd like to see me cover in this series?
