Get the Look: Blue & White Fresh Coastal Bedroom
How have your weeks been, friends? It was a big one for me! On Monday, my online course, "How to Launch An E-Design Business," went live and my first students signed up. Hooray!
But that's not what you're here for, is it? We're here to chat about recreating another pretty space with this week's Get the Look post, aren't we? So let's get to it!
Becki Owens is a designer I've admired for a long time, and when I came across this blue and white bedroom of hers on Style Me Pretty Living, I knew it was the perfect one to share with you for this week's edition of Get the Look. She has a wonderfully fresh and clean aesthetic that also feels classic - her work is fabulous!
In this particular bedroom, I was drawn to the color palette of blues and whites (I always am - it's a "can't go wrong" pairing in my mind!), and the simplicity of the overall design. It's anything but boring though with the different shades of blue and the texture variations in the woven bench, beaded chandelier, and the bed linens.
Now let's jump into how you can get the look of this bedroom for your own home! Scroll on down to see the pieces I chose, and then read a little bit about why I decided on these particular ones:
Gray Upholstered Wingback Bed | Blue Woven Tassel Rug | Beaded Chandelier | Navy Euro Pillow | Patterned Blue Throw Pillow | Blue Mudcloth Tassel Lumbar Pillow | Striped Throw Blanket | White Roman Shade | Woven Wood Bench | Accent Cabinet | Glass Table Lamp

Gosh, I have so many favorite pieces of furniture and decor in this week's look!
Let's start with that fabulous fringed blue rug. I've been dying to use it in a room design for forever, but the right opportunity hasn't come up yet for any clients, so I'm glad I can use it here! It works well in this coastal style bedroom, but it would also be great in a more modern or eclectic space too.
And how about those lovely pillows? The navy euro ones really provide a great backdrop for the lighter blue ones. The pattern on the smaller square pillow is gorgeous, and by the way, the Etsy shop that carries them has a really great collection in general - be sure to check it out!
Finally, let's not forget the beaded chandelier - talk about a conversation piece! It's the perfect amount of wow factor in this simple bedroom.
All right, so tell me - what's your favorite piece in this space?
Happy shopping and have a great weekend!
