My Coastal-Inspired Collection of Art Prints From Etsy

Finding the perfect art piece for a wall in your home can be a fun journey, but it can also be a little daunting! Art is so taste-specific, and often finding the right piece is more about a gut feeling or emotion that it evokes than anything else. It might sound cheesy, but finding art that “speaks to you” is truly the best kind!

Then the question is: where do you go to find good art? There are tons of great artists, art collectives, and resources out there. One of my go-to sites is Etsy*. I love that it’s a collection of small businesses (shops) and you can find just about anything that falls under that “maker” umbrella. Another advantage of Etsy is that since you’re working directly with the maker, you’ll find more opportunities for customization - just message the seller to find out if they can do something like make a piece in a different size or you may even be able to commission a special piece to your specifications.

I’ve found so many good pieces there over the years and today I wanted to narrow the focus to a category that speaks to part of my personal style - coastal-influenced art!

I’ve pulled together a bunch of beautiful pieces in an Etsy “Collection,” which you can browse through using the link below. I hope it’ll help you get started with finding the right one for your home. Then keep reading for more general tips to help you navigate Etsy’s huge collection of shops!

Here are some of my tips for navigating the platform and find prints that speak to you:

1. Use Specific Search Terms

When searching for coastal art prints, start with specific keywords to narrow down your options. Try terms like “coastal wall art,” “beach art prints,” “ocean photography,” or “nautical art.” Adding descriptors such as “abstract,” “watercolor,” or “vintage” can further refine your search based on your style preference.

2. Explore Categories and Filters

Etsy’s filtering options allow you to sort results by price, size, color, and style. This can help you quickly find prints that match your decor needs and budget. You can also explore different categories, such as “Art & Collectibles” or “Home Décor,” to discover related items.

3. Check Seller Reviews and Ratings

Reviews and ratings provide insight into the quality of the art prints and the reliability of the seller. Look for sellers with high ratings and positive feedback to ensure you’re purchasing from reputable sources. Don’t hesitate to read through the reviews for details about print quality, shipping times, and customer service.

4. Consider Customization Options

Many Etsy sellers offer customization options, allowing you to request specific sizes, colors, or even personalized touches. If you have a particular vision in mind, reach out to the seller to discuss customization possibilities. Custom prints can make your coastal art even more special and tailored to your space.

5. Pay Attention to Product Details

Carefully read product descriptions for information about the print material, size, and framing options. Some prints are available as digital downloads, while others are shipped as physical products. Understanding these details will help you make an informed decision and ensure the print meets your expectations.

6. Explore Collections and Curated Shops

Some Etsy sellers curate collections of coastal art, providing a cohesive selection of prints that complement each other. Exploring these curated shops can save you time and inspire you with coordinated sets of artwork. Additionally, following your favorite shops and artists can keep you updated on new arrivals and exclusive offers. You can find my collection of coastal-inspired prints right here!

So take some time to explore Etsy, dig in, find some favorite shops, and fill your home with beautiful art! Let me know what you find and love!
