Save or Splurge: Furniture & Decor (Copy)
It’s time for another round of save or splurge! In today’s edition, you’ll find a collection of furniture, lighting, and decor, including some blue swivel chairs, glass bubble chandeliers, oval natural wood coffee tables, blue block print pillows, and brass taper candle sconces.
Take a look at the different pairs above and see if you can guess which one’s the “save” and which one’s the “splurge,” and then see how you did below!
I love finding lookalike pieces. There’s something for every budget and it’s amazing how similar some can be to one another. I always caveat this with the fact that price does often correlate to quality, so keep that in mind as you’re comparing the products. There are definitely times when it makes sense to take the plunge and invest in something for your home, but mixing in affordable home decor definitely gets hearty approval in my book.

Blue Barrel Swivel Chair:
Save | Splurge
Swivel chairs are such a great piece and work in so many different scenarios. I loved this classic barrel shape and the modern lines. I chose blue here because the “save” version only comes in a few fabric options (one of them being this blue). The spurge option has a bunch though at different price points.
I do have a slight preference for the higher priced one because I like the lighter wood base better. They’re both well-designed pieces though!
Glass Bubble Chandelier
Save | Splurge
I’ve seen both of these in different homes and they’re both pretty fabulous. Obviously there’s a huge price difference and the styles are slightly different, but you get the same visual impact from both of these bubble chandeliers.
How fabulous would one of these be in a large foyer, in a living room with high ceilings, or above a dining table? It’s a statement light for sure.
Oval Natural Wood Coffee Table:
Save | Splurge
I’ve really been digging oval coffee tables lately. There’s something nice about the softness of the lines with the functionality of it almost being rectangular in shape. I loved the blocky sculptural look of this natural wood toned coffee table - it feels modern, but also has a coastal appeal to it.
Blue Block Print Pillow:
Save | Splurge
Block prints have become a favorite pattern in the past couple of years and I love it on a pillow. I’ve had a hard time finding more budget-friendly ones that are actually pretty, so I was thrilled to come across this 22” square pillow for $29. That’s a great price. Most of the ones that I’ve seen are more in the $50-80 range, which isn’t crazy, but isn’t as approachable. Both of these are really great ones!
Brass Taper Candle Sconces:
Save | Splurge
Lastly, I’ve found myself drawn to taper candle sconces lately and these two are really pretty and different. I love that they give you a similar look to an electric sconce, but there’s no wiring needed. If it’s more the feel of a sconce that you’re after, give a candle sconce a try! I just might be adding a pair of these to my fireplace wall…
