Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm talking about what caught my eye recently at Pottery Barn, which is a store I imagine you're all familiar with for their coastal and farmhouse style pieces, but have you noticed that a bunch of their recent additions have had a modern twist to them? (That's a win in my book!) I bet if you didn't already know that today's picks were from Pottery Barn, it probably wouldn't have been your first guess. Let's be honest - 10 years ago, that mid-century-ish swivel chair would never have found its way into the PB catalog! :)  "Cozy modern meets classic" is my jam, and they're nailing that look right now.

So let's chat about some of these pieces and why I picked them!

  • Wells Upholstered Swivel Armchair: doesn't this look like the perfect chair to snuggle up in with a good book? I love that it makes a statement with its high back and tufted cushion. There's a matching ottoman as well, if you're looking to really kick back and lounge.
  • Black and White Basket Wall Art: you can't tell from the image, but this basket is large and in charge at nearly 38" wide. It comes ready to hang and would be perfect above a bed.
  • Pink Embroidered Pillow: the motif on this pillow reminds me of block printed fabrics, but the fact that it's embroidered kicks it up a notch I think. In addition to the blush pink, it comes in several other colors (although that might be my fave of the bunch).
  • Nesting Side Table: if you're short on space, this is a great side table to have at your disposal - I can think of so many times when that small nesting table would come in handy as an extra surface. When it's tucked away, it's super discreet. Good work, Pottery Barn.
  • Faux Umbrella Plant: PB's artificial plant game is strong. I've seen several of them in person, and they're quite good. If keeping real plants alive ain't your thang, be sure to check take a look through the whole collection. They've got a wide variety!
  • Geode Bookends: these are a fun and colorful addition to any bookshelf. They add just the right amount of sophisticated whimsy - don't you think?
  • Toulouse Day Bed: I could easily picture myself napping on this pretty lady. It would be perfect if you needed a small guest bed in a nursery or extra seating in a home office.

Now tell me, what's your favorite piece of this bunch?
