Holiday Gift Guide #2: For The Home Decor Lover
Welcome to the Mix & Match Gift Guide #2! In case you missed it last week, I debuted my series of four holiday gift guides with a roundup of my favorite Etsy shops in support of Small Business Saturday. Be sure to shop the little guys too in this season of gifting!
This week, I put together a list of ideas for the home decor lover in your life. If that's you, and you see some ideas on here that you'd like to see wrapped up under your tree, feel free to forward this post on to the appropriate person - little hints never hurt, right? ;)
I divided these gifts up by price: under $25, under $50, and under $100 - I hope these ideas are helpful as you hunt for the perfect presents!
Home Decor Gifts Under $25
1 | Magnolia Journal Gift Subscription: Magazines subscriptions are the gift that keeps on giving. For $20, you can send a year's worth of Joanna Gaines to the Fixer Upper lover in your life (especially now that the show is in its last season!).
2 | Leopard Print Mug: H&M is one of my favorite places for budget-friendly home-related gifts, and this mug is just one example! The animal print and "go wild!" message inside is such a fun design, and the gold rim adds a touch of glam.
3 | Colorblocked Monogram Journal: Journals and notebooks are such versatile gifts, and this one will look pretty on a nightstand or bookshelf. Pretty and functional? Yes please!
4 | Succulent Tea Towel: Both this tea towel and the lemon one next to it are from World Market, and during the holiday season they ship for free! A pretty tea towel looks beautiful hanging in a kitchen or bathroom. You can also use them to wrap gifts like a bottle of wine or baked goods.
5 | Plaid Welcome Mat: If you have a front door (which we all do, right?), you need a doormat! This one has mass appeal with its simple design - the plaid feels holiday-appropriate, but also works year round.
6 | Hammered Brass Decorative Bowl: I can see this bowl being used in so many ways in the kitchen or for display in a living room. You could even use it in an entryway as a catchall for keys and other miscellaneous items!
7 | Stone and Glass Terrarium: Ok, so I'm cheating a bit with this one since it's just over $25 right now on sale. Be sure to snatch up this planter for the succulent-obsessed person in your life.
8 | The Nesting Place: It Doesn't Have To Be Perfect To Be Beautiful: This book is a few years old, but it's excellent. It's all about letting go of perfection when it comes to decorating your home, and is full of practical and budget-friendly tips. It looks great on a bookshelf too. :)
Home Decor Gifts Under $50
1 | Wildflower Cream & Sugar: This set is beautiful and I love that it's a collaboration between Anthropologie and artist Jen Garrido. If someone on your list has glass front cabinets in their kitchen, this would be a lovely item to display behind them.
2 | Escape (Gray Malin): If you aren't familiar with the name Gray Malin, you're missing out! He shoots these epic aerial photographs all over the world and now he's sharing them in the form of a gorgeous coffee table book. Be sure to check out his other book, Beaches, too.
3 | Marble & Brass Servers: Have a person in your who is always hosting parties? These would make a great addition to his or her serving pieces.
4 | Agate Coasters: Coasters are one of those things that we all need to have around, but they're often overlooked opportunities to bring in something pretty. Upgrade to these agate ones for some major style points.
5 | Abstract Art Print: Art can be tricky to gift, but it's hard to go wrong with a gorgeous abstract if you know someone's favorite colors. The print itself is $38, and since it's a standard size, you can pick up an affordable frame to go with it.
6 | Aqua Glass Beads: Nope, this isn't a glass bead necklace (although it would be pretty as one), they're a fantastic decorative item you can use to style your bookshelf or coffee table!
7 | Woven Wall Hanging: These bohemian-meets-modern wall hangings are so hot right now, and they're a great way to fill a blank spot on a wall with something that isn't framed art. They incorporate well into gallery walls too.
8 | Tabletop Mid-Century Planter: I have the larger one of these in my house and I love it! It's simple, but the wood base gives it a little something extra for your houseplant's home.
9 | Fiddle Leaf Fig Print: I couldn't resist adding one more little piece of art to this under $50 roundup. If you love fiddle leaf fig trees, but can't seem to keep them alive, here's a good alternative to bring one into your home in a different form!
Home Decor Gifts Under $100
1 | Oak and White Letterboard: Letterboards have become super popular over the past couple of years and for good reason - they're quirky, fun, and a little bit of a throwback to simpler times.
2 | Pom Pom Plaid Throw Blanket: The non-traditional plaid colors and pom poms make this blanket quite the looker, don't you think? It'll definitely add a bright spot in the midst of the dreary days of winter!
3 | Brass Votive Candelabra: I love how this candelabra uses votives instead of taper candles, which gives it a slightly more modern and casual feel. I can totally see this as an amazing centerpiece on holiday table.
4 | Black & White Modern Jewelry Box: This modern take on a traditional jewelry box is perfect for someone who needs a place to store their necklaces, earrings, and bracelets, but also wants something that'll look pretty on top of a dresser.
5 | Framebridge Gift Certificate: Framebridge offers affordable custom framing for just about anything, and a gift card might be just the thing to prompt that special person in your life to finally get that favorite piece that's been sitting in storage up on the wall!
6 | Wicker Baskets With Pom Poms: Apparently I have a thing for pom poms! How cute are these baskets? I can think of a million places to use them, and I don't think you can ever have too many baskets in your home.
7 | Colorblock Plant Hangers: Look closely at these - they have different color combos at the top and bottom, which add just the right touch of style. Hanging planters are great for trailing plants like Pothos, and they're perfect for jazzing up an empty corner in a room.
8 | Amazon Echo: You might be surprised to see this in my list, but since the Echo is something that will be on display in your home, it better be pretty! Amazon has done a fantastic job designing the second generation of the Echo, and there are several options that will fit into many different styles.
